Very good Laptop for the price July 21, 2010 Jose M. Chaverra (NC USA) I already have two weeks with this laptop and have no complains. This laptops is perfect for the every day computing need, I ussually runs the Microsoft Office suite in it with no problems. Web Cam is ok but I don't use it too often. Hard Drive have enough space. Keyboard do not has the numpad and no backlit. Screen is really good with smooth resolution. In my opinion it needs a cuple more USB ports and of course HDMI port. Bottom line: is a good computer for the price.

Disappointed May 21, 2010 Anamalia (Maui, Hawaii) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am very disappointed with this laptop. I fired it up and it is defective!
The keyboard is out of sync and any letter that I type with my right hand is
a different character! I will be returning it to sender and will not chance purchasing another of this same model.
Poor quality harddrive May 8, 2010 Amazon Shopper (Woodside, CA) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
The laptop is pretty and works ably... while it lasts.
Unfortunately, mine had a catastrophic failure after just five months. It suffered a complete harddrive failure without having been dropped or mistreated, so it was just a poor quality product on Sony's part.
To add insult to injury, I took it to a Sony repair shop to be fixed since it was obviously still under warranty, but was told it would set me back another $200 if I wanted my data recovered. I routinely back up my data, but hadn't gotten around to it yet since it was only five months old. So Sony had effectively told me that I would have to pay an additional $200 on top of the $800 I had already paid just months earlier to have my laptop returned to the same condition it was in before it failed due to their own poor quality.
My advice: there are plenty of other laptops to choose from that treat their customers better and make better quality products that don't fail within months of purchase. I learned my lesson and will never be buying another Sony Vaio again.

I WANTED A PINK VAIO AND IN THE MOMENT WHEN I FOUND MY VAIO, THE SELLER SEND ME A MAIL SAYING THAT THE MERCHANDISE WAS SOLD, AND WOULD GO BACK THAT PAYMENT TO MY CREDIT CARD. THEN I CHOOSE AND BUY ANOTHER LAP TOP AND LEATER,I HAVE TWO LAP TOPS IN MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE THE SELLER DONT SEND ME A NEW MAIL SAYING THAT THEY HAD MY FIRST OPTION. I COULD CANCEL THE SECOND LAP TOP (THANKS GOD).
I RECIBE MY PINK VAIO ON TIME, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION BUT TWO WEEKS LATER APPEARS A MESSAGE IN MY SCREEN AND TELL ME THAT THE COPY OF MY WINDOWS IS NOT GENUINE.
IS THIS POSSIBLE?, WHAT HAPPEN? WHY I HAVE IN MY SCREEN "THIS COPY OF YOUR WINDOWS IS NOT GENUINE?, WHY PUT THIS ON THE COMPUTERS? AND THE MOST IMPORTANT WHAT CAN I DO?
THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION
